Saturday I had the chance to do my run for training for the marathon – I ran around Hermann Park 3 ½ times to get my ten miles. It's great that Tommy is so close to the park for his daily walks.
Tommy has a great setup at the apartment – here are some pictures.

Tommy and I headed over to the airport to pickup Mom late Saturday morning. We headed out for a nice hour long walk that afternoon.

This morning we went to mass at the chapel at MD Anderson – the priest did a great job with the homily. The gospel reading for the day was Luke 4:1-13. The homily focused on how Jesus shows us how to respond in times of temptation and how to place further trust in God. It was so nice to be there with Mom and with Tommy. After mass, we met up with a number of Tommy's friends at the hospital – it was good to see so many positive people dealing with these difficult situations.
After visiting MD Anderson, we went to Prego for Sunday brunch. It was delicious and I enjoyed the conversation with Mom and Tommy. We sat in the back of the restaurant to be safe.

We are back at the apartment now and Mom is baking some banana bread I am going to get ready to take off for the airport. The weekend blew by, but it was so good to see Tommy and get the chance to catch up with him.
